Science Technical Showcase

The aim of the Science and Technology Showcase was to raise children’s aspirations in science and technology subjects and demonstrate how exciting STEM can be at A level and in higher education.

As well as having some fun, this was a unique opportunity for children to talk with current undergraduate students, PhD students and academics about what it’s like to study and work in STEM. The children were able to move freely between stands, spending time at the exhibits that were of interest to them. Exhibits ranged from Segways to computer game technology, oculus rift to marine wildlife, chemistry experiments to healthcare sciences, with something for everyone and plenty of opportunity for the children to get hands on.
