Pop Up Books

During DT, Year 3/4  made pop up books. Initially, the children looked at a range of books which had ‘pop up’ pages in them as part of their research. Next, they learnt how to do the folds themselves and thought about how they could turn them into pages in their books. The folds learnt were;

• Mouth fold
• V fold
• Box fold
• Wheel fold
• Slider fold

The children thought about which pages would work best for the different designs they created. Then,  they worked collaboratively in a group to create their very own Stone Age pop up books.  The children each had a particular page to work on and they mastered a different fold. I’m sure you will agree that they look fantastic.
