High View SchoolArchie Launch Assembly
Every year we have a 'launch' assembly where we introduce Archie to our Year 3/4 children. We talk about dementia and how it can affect people differently through sharing the story of Archie the scarecrow who gradually loses his colours and can only see things in black and white. The children enjoy having a race to see which team can make Archie the scarecrow the quickest. When back in class, the children have talk times about dementia so they are able to share their own stories and ask any questions they may have.
